How Your Patio Will Be Installed

Excavation

We will ensure that the area for the intended pavement is excavated to a minimum depth of 150mm below the final surface level. We will ensure that the new pavement will not obstruct any air bricks and will finish at least 150mm below the existing damp proof level in any adjacent wall. If this is not possible, we will advise you in order to secure written approval to proceed.

Sub-base

After excavation, an appropriate MOT Type 1 granular sub-base will be installed. The sub-base will be fully compacted, by a whacker plate. The minimum depth of the sub-base will be 75mm.

Laying

We will lay the paving in strict accordance with the Marshalls installation methods which is on a full bed of mortar. The paving will be pointed using Marshalls weather point 365 frost resistant resin jointing material
